Specification Summary:
Bolton Gate Company’s Security Rolling Grille is designed for openings where a high degree of security is required whilst maintaining the see through visual aspect not available when using traditional closed lath shutters.
The parallel mesh design combined with stainless steel or powder coat finishes alongside coil and motor casings provide a highly aesthetic appearance ensuring the grille is entirely suitable for an extensive range of applications.
The grille can also be provided in a roller shutter / grille hybrid combination which is particularly beneficial in large car park openings where the lower portion is supplied with traditional shutter lath for security purposes but the upper portion utilises the grille to provide the free air flow for the exhaust gases.
The powder coated steel version of the security rolling grille is most frequently used on car park or loading bay type applications where the high volume airflow that it permits is advantageous. Combined with specialist ATEX rated drive systems the air flow capabilities have seen the grille successfully used on gas and chemical stores.
The stainless steel option has been used on high-end shop fronts, malls, superstore entrances, corridors and reception areas where the specifier has wanted to maximise viewing area or create a heightened sense of space.
Electric operation is provided by a 400-volt nominal, 3 phase, direct drive motor complete with integrated safety brake.
A manual disconnect mechanism complete with haul chain is provided for use in the event of power failure.
Open / Close / Stop push button controls are integrated within the face of the low level control panel.
A 230-volt, 1 phase tubular motor option is also available (depending on opening size) in addition to a whole array of optional control and safety equipment that can be provided for both drive options. Please discuss your requirements with our technical sales team.
