Industrial Door Engineer
Pay

Responsibilities include:
We are looking to enhance our team by recruiting a qualified Industrial Door Engineer preferably from the Essex area, to work predominantly in the South East of England, although will be required to travel dependant on workloads.
Ideally you will have experience of working within the Industrial Door Industry, mechanically installing both manual & electrical rolling & folding steel shutter doors.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
Mechanical installation (plus electrical if qualified) of manual and electrical rolling and folding steel shutters and doors.
Working on construction sites and / or in commercial or industrial settings.
Travelling to site addresses on a timely basis.
Attendance at timed site induction or completion of on-line inductions.
Maintenance and proper use of all appropriate personal protective equipment.
Carrying out activities in accordance project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Completion of a Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to undertaking works.
Meeting delivery vehicles on site and coordinating off-loading of materials.
Manual handling and / or use of trolleys / bogies for horizontal transfer of materials.
Creating a safe working area.
Safe use of chain hoists, genie lifts for hoisting materials into position.
Safe use of mobile scaffolding towers and / or MEWPS for working at height.
Setting out works from datums.
Measuring and drilling fixing holes in supporting structures as indicated on general arrangement drawings.
At all times ensure that works are completed in a safe manner and that unfinished works are secure and do not pose a risk of damage to persons or property.
Checking and testing products following completion of activities.
Demonstration and handover of product to customers.
Completion of hand over documentation.
Off-hire plant and equipment.
