BOLTON GATE COMPANY folding door provides security at the Leidsche Rijn Centre in Utrecht and features a unique vehicle motif on the facade.
Leidsche Rijn Center is a mixed development in Utrecht, Holland and is being constructed on top of and around the Leidsche Rijn tunnel.
Monolab Architects were seeking a modern folding door design for one of the buildings whose elevation featured a repeating vehicle motif formed from powder coated sheets with a pattern of 3mm diameter holes to achieve the desired effect. The design also featured matching transom and side panels and complemented the surrounding structure.
Bolton Gate were specified to produce this door and assisted their local agents with the installation.
Context
Leidsche Rijn Center is a neighbourhood under construction for shopping, living and working in the Leidsche Rijn district of Utrecht in the Netherlands, and the suburb will be constructed on top of and around the Leidsche Rijn tunnel. The project includes 130 stores, 762 apartments and 9000m² of office space.
Requirement

Solution
Bolton Gate Company was chosen to produce this door, which wasn’t available locally, and assisted local door company, Alldoorco, with the installation.
The design featured matching transom and side panels and complemented the surrounding structure.
